Music Generation Mayo provides a variety of music programmes for children and young people around the county. Professional musicians facilitate learning on a wide range of instruments, voice and music technology across all styles of music.
Music Generation Mayo is part of Music Generation, Ireland’s National Music Education Programme which transforms the lives of children and young people through access to high-quality, subsidised performance music education.

A cast of nine-hundred performing at The Royal Theatre Castlebar to celebrate live music.
Nearly 1,000 young musicians from Music Generation Mayo will be appearing at The Royal Theatre Castlebar from 7pm on Thursday the 26th of May as part of Music Generation Mayo’s #youngmusiciansofmayo concert. Members of Music Generation Mayo’s Harp Ensemble, Uillean Pipers and Céilí Ukulele programmes will be showcasing their talent and love of music.
Tickets for #youngmusiciansofmayo go on sale on Thursday 28 April at 9am and are available from www.ticketmaster.ie and the Royale Theatre, Castlebar. All tickets are €8.

Enhanced Music Classes with Musico
We will continue to use Musico to enhance our live classes this year. Students can have fun using the resources in Musico during the week to play/sing!
